1. Mrs. Brower is looking for a couple of reliable people who would be interested in working a concession stand this Saturday in the Bears Den for the chess tournament. She would like to offer this as an opportunity for someone to get some community service hours or attendance make-up hours. The tourney begins at 9 am and goes until 2:30ish. 2. The Willow Springs Chapter FFA Banquet is TONIGHT at 5:30 p.m. in the elementary cafeteria. Official dress is preferred or a nice polo and jeans. Meal is included, hope to see everyone.

5. Congratulations to the Bears baseball team for their exciting 3 to 2 win Monday over Houston, which lasted 13 innings.  The Bears also defeated Lutie on Tuesday by a score of 12 to 1.  The Bears are now 4 and 1 on the season and 1 and 0 in the SCA. COME OUT AND SUPPORT YOUR BEARS!!

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

TODAY is the deadline for the Shelter Insurance Scholarship.  Return it to Mrs. Petrus’ office by 3.00 p.m. on TODAY.

The Margaret Bauer Memorial Scholarship for nursing is due at 3:00 p.m. in Mrs. Petrus’ office on Friday.

The Beltz Scholarship deadline is approaching–April 1.  If you are interested, please see one of the vocational teachers for an application.

The local scholarship applications are due at 3:00 p.m. in Mrs. Petrus’ office on April 3rd.  Don’t forget to do the additional forms for the John East Scholarship, The Hometown Pride Scholarship, and the WSSC textbook Scholarship if applicable.

• Please sign up your basketball teams by TODAY.  Teams of 4, must be co-ed, can include 1 adult chaperone.

• If you want to participate in a scavenger hunt, get together a team of 3 people and sign up by TODAY.

7. The City of Willow Springs is accepting applications for Lifeguards at the City Water Park.  Applications may be obtained at City Hall, 900 W. Main St and will be accepted through Friday, March 30th.

see Mrs. Brower by Wednesday.  Payment arrangements can be made, just ask.

3.  Please sign up your basketball teams by Thursday.  Teams of 4, must be co-ed, can include 1 adult chaperone.

4.  If you want to participate in a scavenger hunt, get together a team of 3 people and sign up by Thursday.

5.  There will be a free Zumba class offered…wear appropriate shoes if you plan to participate.

 SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:   

Thursday is the deadline for the Shelter Insurance Scholarship.  Return it to Mrs. Petrus’ office by 3.00 p.m. on Thursday.

The Margaret Bauer Memorial Scholarship for nursing is due at 3:00 p.m. in Mrs. Petrus’ office on Friday.

The Beltz Scholarship deadline is approaching–April 1.  If you are interested, please see one of the vocational teachers for an application.

The local scholarship applications are due at 3:00 p.m. in Mrs. Petrus’ office on April 3rd.  Don’t forget to do the additional forms for the John East Scholarship, The Hometown Pride Scholarship, and the WSSC textbook Scholarship if applicable.
