MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS TRACK & FIELD

The 7th & 8th grade girls track teams have been dominating this season. At this point, they have participated in 3 track meets (Liberty, Mtn. Grove, and West Plains) and are undefeated. The 8th grade Lady Bears are in pursuit of their second S.C.A. title while the 7th grade Lady Bears are after their first.

Scholastic Book Fair is coming to the Willow Springs Middle School

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to the Willow Springs Middle School Library Media Center.
The book fair will take place April 27-May1 for students to purchase books for their summer reading. On Tuesday, April 28 from 4-7 PM the book fair will be open to parents.
Please come that afternoon to purchase books for your student and enjoy a snack.
George Washington Comes to MS

8th grade students at the Willow Springs Middle School have been studying about the American Revolutionary War and the period following. During this time, students were required to do research on George Washington. On one day, the students had to work in teams to design a costume for one of the students in class. This student was to be dressed as George Washington. After getting dressed up, the student aka George Washington walked around the campus at Willow Springs School fielding questions about Washington. The student then returned to class and reported on how George Washington was received and what type of questions or comments he garnered.

It’s a scary time for many Americans as there is plenty of uncertainty regarding the economy and the safety of our country. Most of us have been glued to the television as we have kept an eye on the status of the economy and how a new President will impact the future of our country. The Willow Springs 8th grade student body has spent the past few weeks trying to understand the issues that surround this presidential election and the state of our country.
