1. A representative from OTC will be in the library TODAY at 11:00 for any junior or senior who needs to see her.
2. The Marine recruiter will be in the Bears Den during lunch TODAY.
3. Any sophomore wanting to attend Vo-Tech next year should see Mrs. Petrus for an application. Applications are due TODAY.
4. If you are interested in purchasing a pair of the Maroon and White Spirit Sleeves, we will have these available in Miss Connie’s office TODAY! These will be great for all the home games that we have here this week. If you are interested in purchasing any other color other than maroon and white you can still place your order for those items by February 20th. Costs of the sleeves are $10. There is a poster by the office if you want to see a picture of the sleeves.
5. It is FCCLA week, don’t forget to vote before school and during lunch, for the male teacher you want to see sporting the empathy belly for a day. Thanks for supporting the 2012 FCCLA charities! Check out who is in the lead outside the FACS classroom!
6. We are having senior night for the girls Thursday. There will only be a varsity contest therefore the Senior Night ceremony will be at 6:00 p.m. immediately before tip-off. Senior night for the boys is Friday night. Seniors and parents will be honored immediately before the varsity contest.
7. Tickets are still available for With Love, From Broadway which will be presented this Saturday night at the Star Theater, directed by Mary Conlin. Admission is $5.
8. March is Missouri Youth Art Month. There is an exhibit of Missouri school artists at the Jefferson City capital building Rotunda throughout the month of March. Annina Fremgen, Emily Wehmer and Summer Hanson will represent the WSHS advanced art department and Allison Reef, Jessica Peck and Miriam Piatnitsky will represent the WSHS Art I department. Their work will be presented on the Missouri DESE website.
9. There will be an Eco Club meeting Thursday in Mrs. Miller’s room DURING 2ND LUNCH ONLY. Freshmen and sophomores will need permission from their Bear Time teachers to attend.
10. SENIORS: The Physical Therapy Specialists Clinic Scholarship is due in their office on Friday by 5:00 p.m. Remember that Mrs. Petrus must complete a part of the application. You will be responsible for mailing or delivering the application.
11. Students we will be having a Coffee House February 23rd from 6:00-8:30 in the HS library. Students who are interested need to sign up in the library.
