1. Junior class officers meeting TODAY at lunch in Mrs. Brower’s room.
2. The kindergarten students will be celebrating the 100th day of school TODAY. Their parade will begin at 9:00 am in the elementary and end in our building a few minutes after that. ENJOY THE PARADE!
3. Girls–FREE ZUMBA TODAY! 3:30-4:30 Elementary Cafeteria. Help celebrate the 1 year Anniversary! Be sure to pick up a permission form from Mrs. Griffith, if you haven’t filled one out already!
4. Get ready for the show of the year! Singers, musicians, and actors from areas towns and your own home town Willow Springs have come together to perform in a show never seen at the Star Theater! Directed by the awesome senior Mary Conlin, With Love, From Broadway will be presented February 18th & 25th at 7:00 at the Star Theater. The show is a music extravaganza of Broadway hits from shows like; Phantom of the Opera, Cinderella, Wicked, Les Miserables, and many more! You may purchase a ticket from Mary Conlin or Serghei. Admission is $5. Tickets will go fast so reserve your spot and come to enjoy an unforgettable night of live music and drama!
5. Seniors the deadline to turn in pictures for the yearbook is February 3rd.
6. FBLA MEMBERS: You must pay your dues by January 31st in order to compete at and attend the District contest in February. It is only $15.00 which pays your local, state and national dues. Also testing is coming up very soon…..so be sure you are studying so we can go to Nationals!
7. BLOOD DRIVE!!! All students ages 16 and up can sign up to donate at Tina’s office window. 16-year-olds must turn in a parent permission form unless they already turned one in at the last blood drive. Girls, remember to keep iron levels up with multi-vitamins, fortified breakfast cereals, spinach, white beans, and/or (yummy!) liver and giblets!
Check out the blood drive posters for the t-shirt design, “Angry Blood” or see the actual t-shirt displayed in Mr. Knapp’s room by his whiteboard.
8. Students will eat their sack lunch in their GAP GROUPS on Wednesday (11:15-12:00).
9. Rhea Wheat’s senior project is making a magazine of new/lightly used dresses for sale. If you are interested in selling a formal dress please pick up a packet of information from Tina’s office or Rhea. The deadline to submit a dress to the magazine is February 14th. We will also be hosting a photography day on Thursday Jan. 26th if you want to bring your dress in to be photographed. Mrs. Brower is looking for volunteers of all sizes to wear donated dresses in the magazine (no faces will be shown). Mrs. Brower has over 60 new/almost new dresses!
