Jul 29, 2010 Community News
The Howell County Health Department will be in Willow Springs on Tuesday August 3rd from 9:30am to 2:00pm. This is the last time they will be in Willow Springs giving free immunizations before school starts. This is a change from the regular schedule.
- Most Kindergarteners need booster immunizations before school starts
- Many 9th or 10th graders are due for a tetanus booster
- All students coming in to 8th gradethis year need to have a pertusis booster. Pertussis is also called “whooping cough”. This booster also has tetanus in it. These students will not need a tetanus booster in high school.
- Students must be up to date with immunizations in order to come to school.
- If you have questions about your child’s immunizations, please call your health care provider or the school nurse.
- Please remember to take your child’s shot record along.
