WSMS Outreach Group

The Middle School Outreach Group is forming up again this semester.  Last school year, 12 students learned the skill of knitting, socialization, and how to give back to the community.  This school year, students will have the same opportunity to learn the skill of crochet as well as learn social skill and how to give back.  The group will be teaming up with a national organization “Warm Up America” where knitted or crocheted blocks are donated and a another team constructs blankets.  Those blankets are donated to help out homeless shelters, battered women shelters, hospitals, and other services such as helping out those who suffered because of “Katrina.”  However, the group needs your help.  The group is in need of donated crochet hooks “G” and/or “H” and 4 ply worsted yarn in any color.  Currently, I have 15 interested students ready to get started.  Those items can be dropped off at the middle school office or Radio Shack.  Thank you so much for your help!
